I am trying to reinstall Windows XP on my laptop. It is an older laptop, with a bunch of junk on it and I want to take it back to factory settings. When I boot with the disc, it ask me which partition to choose. One has 8 mb and the other has 16,000mb. Do I delete either partion, do I install it on the one with the current software? What should I do next? I dont care if I lose any files currently on it, I just want it back to like new condition.

Windows XP reserves an 8 MB partition for overhead.
Delete both partitions, then format and when asked you can choose the size of the partition to install XP on. Normally choose the maximum size.
