I have spent 2 hours on the phone to Sky which was an indian call centre, Totally hopeless, They just went through a script and were not listening to the problem I had. (I got cut off twice)

I ended up ringing the technical helpdesk in Ireland and had a really nice chat with a young lady who sorted most of my problems out in 5 minutes.

To be honest I am regretting switching and dread what it is to come. My advice, pay the little extra with someone else.

or If you are stuck with Sky broadband ring the technical helpdesk in Ireland (Derry) for all your problems and dont ring any other of the 7 numbers ( yes seven ).

You waste 10 minutes with automated voice telling you to press this for that, then press that for this etc,
After this you get the Indian call centre, your heart drops and you know you should have stuck with the other service provider.

I am using Sky broadband and yes its cheap, only £10 per month, this is the max package on stand alone and does not include phone, but you do have to subscribe to Sky T-V. It took 10 days from point of order to installation which was done professionally by Sky engineer at no cost. I did have trouble with pass-word that sky issued me it would not allow me to log in on home page, but got round that o-k. IFyou opt for the full package it would cost £26 per month----T-V--PHONE--BROADBAND.

We switched to Sky but the process was certainly not without a lot of hassel. They talk more than they deliver, and, in my experience, they are slow in delivering - like still not having a username or password, nor emails (they promise 10!) after more than 6 months. However, we could just be an isolated case , although I doubt it.
