We could very easily fall into a depression.

War does not cause economic depression per se, but it drains our treasury with little outlook for economic return.

I am worried that the housing market is going to collapse. Low interest rates for a long time have created an artificial demand for housing. What about people who purchased homes using ARMs? As we deplete our petroleum supply are the suburbs going to experience an exodus of people back into the inner city?
What have we been doing to build economic infrastructure the past six years? Are we headed for a major drought from global warming?

From an economic view point we just got out of a depression that was caused by 9/11 and our economy is actually bigger then it was before... and it would depend on the type of war if the war hit American soil it could have the potential to cause another depression but usually wars don't cause depression...
And as far as your first question our economy is so large that its near imposable for our economy to fall into another depression...

The dollar would have to be worthless . War could do it .Mostly if the dollar cant but anything its no good . The government doesnt run the country the Banks do .

it would be hard to fall into another depression cause we have the thing where the government backs up our money thats in the bank and promises that we will have that money
so its pretty much imposible

It would take really bad news that affects the whole world. Something everyone is worried/scared/concerned about.
