I would like to have a child in my life (be a father). the person that i would be doing the artificial insemination with is just a friend. We are not dating or are not lovers. We both want a child I am 19 the women is 31. Would it be wrong to do that, i mean it would be like going to a sperm bank and doing it that way except she would'nt know who the father is. This way she would no who it is. It would be like donating my sperm and being able to see my baby also. Right? Thanks for the help. any extra information would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with what you're thinking of doing. Just make sure you've completely thought it through. You're going to be responsible for this child regardless of your mindset after it happens. There's no turning back once she's pregnant. My advice would be to have a lawyer involved to at least draw up a legally binding agreement between the two of you to cover things like custody, visitation, and any financial issues. I would do this before you even start to try to get her pregnant.
