I like proactiv for oily skin, also use moisturizers that say "for oily skin" so that way they"ll mosturize your skin but not make it oily. Mary Kay also has this "oil matiffier(sp)" and it comes in a tube and you squeeze some on your finger and rub it on your forehead or nose(or wherever gets shiny), but only put it on at night after washing your face). The body shop also has a whole line devoted to oily skin, you can go to their shop or go online and order here's the link: http://thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/browse/sub_category.jsp?categoryId=cat50008
The best thing at the body shop is the Tea Tree oil Face Blotting Tissues. You can carry them in your purse and just rub the spots on your face that are oily, it works great.
Also, if you ever are out and about and have oily skin and cant do anything about it, go to the bathroom and take a toilet seat cover and rub the oily spots on your face, it makes them way less oily and noticeable! ITs a quick fix that Iove

Well, getting rid of all that shine isn't just about what treatments to use. It is often recommended to change your diet and lifestyle to supplement your treatment because the products can only do so much.
The first step is to drink more water(filtered water recommended to get rid of all that dirt and micro-organisms in the water) and the second step is to eat more vegetables and fruits and less processed food and meat. The third step is to have sufficient sleep and the fourth is to eliminate stress from your life.
For treatments, you could try Paula's Choice or even La Roche. Clinique is also quite good although, just like many other products, these brands might not work for your skin. It's a matter of trial and error, really.
By the way, I try not to use home-made concoctions because the acidity and alkalinity of a fruit varies from batch to batch. You could end up smearing some potent stuff onto your face and not know it! Because, your skin seems pretty sensitive and it might be reacting to the strength of the chemicals in the products you're using, instead of just the alkaline or acidic nature of the treatments.
And if you continue to have problems, I suggest you see a skin specialist instead. Pumping too many chemicals into your skin will damage it instead.

All those chemicals are bound to damage your skin...badly. Here is an all-natural, safe recipe for treating oily skin:
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 medium apple, grated (green ones are the best)
- 1 egg white
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
WHAT TO DO:
1) Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry.
2) Place all your ingredients into a bowl, mixing thoroughly to combine.
3) Use your fingers to apply a thin, even layer of the mask over your face, avoiding the eye area.
4) Wait 20 minutes
5) Use a washcloth and tepid water to rinse off the mask. Pat dry.
ALSO... what you eat can influence your skin. Eat "lighter" foods to combat the oils. Apricots, peaches, brocolli, tomatoes, chicken, and fish are all good ways to go.
This is a real recipe from the book "InSPAration" by Mary Beth Sammons and Samantha Moss. You can use this recipe a few times a week. You can buy it online and in stores. It has tons of more great spa recipes, and more!

sounds like you have EXTREMELY oily skin.
buy blotting papers, or if you want to go the cheap route cut peices of parchment paper up and use those.
also make sure you are using a good cleaner, toner, moisturizer that is specifically for oily skin. nivea has a good cleanser for oily skin and it exfoliates: you definitely need to cleanse, tone, moisturize twice or even three tiems a day. remember..choose produicts for OILY skin.
oh yeah...dont use proactive like the one girl suggested, proactive has acid for acne. dont use acne treaments if you dont have acne - bad idea!
good luck!

There are a few things you should be doing:
Make sure that the products you are using on your skin are pH correct, which is so important to your skin. Our skin is natural pH is about a 7.0 on the pH scale from 1-14. Most bar soaps or anti-bacterial soaps have a higher pH, which helps them to foam and gives you that squeaky clean feeling. People with oily skin especially like this feeling as it dries up and removes a lot of the oil . The problem is, by removing so much of the oil from the surface of the skin, the oil glands get a message to produce more oil and it becomes a viscous cycle of over drying the skin with high pH cleansers and the skin trying to defend itself by producing too much oil. In people with dry skin which does not produce enough oil of its own, using a high pH cleanser such as soap only further drie out the skin. The oil on the skin is there to protect the skin from the environment and helps to combat aging. By using a pH correct product such as Arbonne, you will not sending your skin to extremes but instead are keep it well balanced helping your oil production in the long run...
Arbonne makes a product called " Arbonne INtelligence Personalizer"- this is a powder that is applied to absorbs the oil before moisturizing or applying make-up. It not only absorbs the oil, but is has a gree tint to it, thus it ensures that your foundation stays true to it's color... It costs $33.25 CAD
The skin care line that I would recommend would be the : " Intelligence not so basic skin care" if you are under 35.
both can be purchased here:http://tryitandloveit.myarbonne.com
Three key elements to help your skin look its best:
·Avoid the damaging sun: with 90% of aging caused by environmental damage and sun exposure, ensure that you wear a product that contains a broad spectrum sun block , and use it every day. Harmful sun rays penetrate clouds…so sun block is needed on cloudy days as well. Arbonne uses the latest in sunscreen technology in their day creams to ensure that you are protected from both the UVB and UVA rays.
·Practice good skin care: Using skin care products incorrectly can cause problems later in life. Learn how to remove make-up, and apply sun screen to let skin breath. Follow up with exfoliation to encourage skin cell turnover, and finish with a light moisturizer to protect the skin’s water barrier.
·Don’t mix brands: With hundreds of skin care products launched each year, it’s no wonder that many of us try the latest products…however that can lead to skin irritation and the development of sensitive skin. Skin care products need time to work, and as your body becomes accustomed to the formulas …you will see benefit. Each brand develops products to work together for best results. Pick a brand and stick with it.
Eating right to keep your skin soft, glowing and strong at any age:
·Orange/red fruits and vegetables: can include tomatoes, squash and carrots- these are packed with beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that is essential for healthy skin, scalp and mucous membranes.
·Shellfish and fish: try salmon, crab, shrimp and lobster- contain astaxanthin, an extremely potent antioxidant that protects your skin from the damaging environment, helps prevent age spots and wrinkling.
·Nuts and seeds- these are rich in vitamin E which helps protect the skin from sun damage
·Citrus fruits- such as oranges, grapefruits, are high in Vitamin C. It is essential to collagen production, and it is the collagen that gives connective tissue strength and resilience.
·Unrefined whole grain- these could be wheat, barley , oats and rye- all contain silica, a mineral that helps to repair damaged skin , hair and nails. Silica helps to strengthen collagen and elastin.
