This question is as simple as most of the people answering it. HBK will win. Cena successfully defended his title at wrestlemania last year, thats rare in itself. The writers will not let him successfully defend his title two years in a row at the main event where titles normally change hands. Think about that for a second. The writers have finally realized that the majority of the fans are bored with Cena. The only reason that Cena mildly gets cheered now is cause he is partners with HBK. If you ask me, if Cena learns actual moves, becomes better on the mic (he sounds stupid when he tries to be funny, only little kids think his korny jokes are funny), and gets a new gimmick, then he will be ok. Basically, everything about him has to change. Especially his caveman-sloping forehead, and giant jaw.

just cause HBK is getting older, that doesnt mean crap. The great, immortal Hulk Hogan was getting the title at his age too. If you can dominate the crowd like HBK and Hogan and bring in a crap load of money and fans, that = a title. Suprise little highschoolers, thats how wwe works.

John Cena & Jeff Hardy's# 1-- Its "wrestling fans" (sarcasm) like you that make this site suck. Your only real defense was that u think Cena is hot. You can ask anyone, he has an extremely limited moveset. When is the last time you saw the guy do something simple like a vertical suplex. There are only so many punches that I can watch.

It's shame that you won't many intellectual remarks especially from the majority of the posters in this section. You are so right, Scott Q. Having Cena win to straight Wrestlemania Main Event retaining the title is overkill.
The only thing that I can possibly think of that will make your prediction not true is that HBK needs a knee surgery as soon as yesterday. That's why they may not put the title on HBK.
But then again, Hulkamania had to come to a brief halt a 'Mania 6 when Warrior beat him, right?

Uh ladies...do you all remember "The Rock", Dwayne Johnson? Before the guy was making movies and giving Hollywood a shot he had won the WWE Championship more than 5 times, had more than 7 years of wrestling underneath his belt, had the looks, and was one of "The Most Electrifying Men In Sports Entertainment". He was versatile, athletic, did about any move you could expect from a guy his size. He had great charisma, and he was in amazing shape.
You see a guy like The Rock is someone I stand for, the "peoples champ" I stand for. One, because he is not fake, and two because he actually could wrestle. He wasn't just eye candy for the ladies, and something for the kids. He could make the male audience laugh, hell he could make ANYONE laugh in the building. This is the guy that even at a heel( a bad guy) could make people laugh. Sure, he would be booed, but once he popped something off the wall he had everyone going crazy.
But you all stand for John Cena, say he is going to beat HBK because he is "sooooo sexi". Since when did looks make a guy fall to the ground? Since when did looks turn into a finisher move? You women need to understand that wrestling isn't about looks, it is about action. In Vince's mind, sure he wants to do the opposite, and that is why I disrespect him in every aspect.
And HBK, he will win. Just watch! The veteran isn't going to make John Cena famous because he just did 5 moves in a 20 minute match to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

It is most probable that HBK could win, but your argument that HBK and Hogan brings in money therefore making them deserving of a title can be applied to Cena as well. Cena has made WWE quite a lot of money in merchandise himself.
And true title defenses are rarely succesful at Wrestlemania, but its also true that faces usually win the main event in Wrestlemania as well. I can only think of probably five instances that the heel has won in the main event. If they do give the title to HBK, it wont be cuz of Cena's shortcomings (which In my opinion he has been working on), but because of Shawn Michael's strengths.
I dont think Cena should change his gimmick. Maybe lose the jokes. His brawling style is just fine.

I agree with what you say but you have to look at it another way.
You said that Cena defended the title last year successfully against HHH, and I agree that is rare in itself. But what would completely turn everything on its head is if Cena were to successfully defend again.
Now I for one do not have a problem with Cena or his gimmick, but I do agree it is time for a change at the top. I have seen that title with Cena for just a little too long and I sure hope they put the strap on HBK.

A month ago I would've agreed with you, but my arguement is that Cena's recaptured his original heat. There are two possibilities to why this has happened;
Possibility 1: Vince is editing crowd reactions pre-broadcast, and yes Vince has done this before, I'm not just being paranoid and bitter. I've seen many matches where it sounds like the audience is on the edge of their seat, but when you look at them, you realize they've lost all interest in the match, hence there's no rational explaination for the disembodied cheering. This is a form of propaganda that could make Cena fans say "it's okay to like Cena again because people in (random state) USA cheer him."
Possibility 2: People, including some smarks, have come to respect and tollerate Cena. There was a lot of internet buzz after his match with Umaga at rumble. Even though it was typical, and somewhat watered down, hardcore, it caught people's attention. Both men delivered in that match. I'm not a fan of Cena's personally, but I had to give him props for this match, both him and Umaga. There's also the possibility that people are just sick of booiing him. It's getting to a point that people are getting sick of being smart about wrestling. I know I've reached a point where I try not to even read web articles anymore because I'm sick of not being surprised when someone debuts or signs a contract, or jumps ship. People just want to slip back into this deep nostalgia of childhood daydreams and feeling some emotion when they watch wrestling. People want to slip back into the kayfabe and boo the heels, cheer the faces, and feel androgenous and leery of the tweeners.
Either way, Cena's got his heat back, plain and simple.

I don't disagree with you. Cena will drop the belt to HBK. But based on the last few major matches that Cena lost, its not going to be a clean victory. I mean, RVD couldn't win at ECW One Night Stand without outside interference from Edge and Paul Heymann. Most likely HBK is going to stooge off and cheat to win. Pisses me off.
