During your period it is the same, there are a few days just before where chances are slightly less.

Actually, while the likelyhood of you getting pregnant is VERY slim, you may want to worry about other important things too like infections. Menstrual fluid has a lot of bacteria and white blood cells, as well as other material from your body in it that greatly increase the risk of you or your partner getting a urinary tract infection. Also if either of you have the possibility of having an STD, the likelyhood of transmission sky rockets. So to answer your question, you more than likely would not get pregnant but the things you may get could lead to damage to your girl parts making it harder for you to get pregnant in the future when you really want to. I would not advise it or use a condom.

It is the same as if you weren't on your period. A period is just a way for your body to cleanse itself, it is cleaning the lining of the uterus after releasing an egg. The egg that was being released can't be fertilized, but the sperm can still make it's way to the eggs in your ovaries just as easy. Please don't use this myth for a birth control method because it does not work, and also can be harmful to your health. Be safe and use a condom, and hold off on having sex while you are on your period, it's just a couple of days!
