Hey there, I'm a young French guy and I just love Mika's album "Life in Cartoon Motion".
I was wondering what's the meaning of the lines "Sucking too hard on your lollipop, or love's gonna get you down".
Can somebody explain in other words, please ? Thanks.

In some areas in the UK, if you are sucking on a lollipop in a club/pub, you are on the pull and want to take someone home with you. (They're gonna get you down.)
