Yes, any CD that you don't personally own is illegal to burn to your computer.

It is also illegal to video tape a baseball game. In several states, it is illegal for a man and woman to live together without being married.

I think the record labels are more concerned with people making mp3s available to millions of people on the web. People who get music from library's often find new artists that they like and would not have be exposed to otherwise. Although some revenue may be lost to this type of piracy, significant new revenue is generated. This is similar to money spent on advertisement.

Even though it is legal to borrow it it is still illegal to copy it. Though I see people making photo copies in the libaries of pages in different books so I wonder sometimes. If I were to borrow the latest Tom Clancy book from my local library, scan the whole thing into a PDF & place it on file sharing then I could well get sued or prosecuted. Though a lot of people do just that and never hear from anyone to stop or face the consequences.

Technically yes. But odds are know one will ever know. Anytime you copy music that you don't own it is illegal.

nicely ... it fairly is technically unlawful, yet especially perplexing to tutor and could on no account be tracked by potential of the government. as long as you do not sell the copies, you probable may well be ok. it fairly is like a compact disk of track.
