Because we don't appoint Presidents, they are voted in. A Muslim will not be received so well over here filling that office. Kind of like voting in a Japanese 6 years after Pearl Harbor. Not gonna happen.

We elect Presidents in the United States. Personally, if I felt the individual was qualified I would not hesitate to vote for someone who is Muslim. Do you have anyone in mind?

Most of America is still ignorant of the religion and have many negative connotations attached to it. The term Muslim describes a person who chooses to follow the Islamic faith. This person can be white, Chinese, Mexican..it's not something passed over genetically. I am not Muslim but this is my understanding.
