The neighborhood we are assigned is sort of a wealthy side of town and is not in need of food, so we are out of ideas, we are doing this through our Church,,Angelus Temple, its our Cell Groups adopt a Block.

Have a "Band-Aid" drive to help out the local children's hospital, or children's ward. This is something kids will feel appreciated for, people would love to help out and do, and the whole neighborhood, including the kids could be equally involved in.

You could have balloons and/or teddy bears to give away to the children in the hospital for every so many boxes of band-aids, or $15.00 donation or something, and have all proceeds go to the hospital!

Local businesses would probably love to donate simple items as balloons, helium tanks, strings, teddy bears, etc.

Make it an annual or semi-annual even!

You should do meals on wheels. That is when you take food/meals to those who cant/aren't able to cook. We do it in our neighborhood and at church.
