[this is chior, a preformance class]
she is a very loved teacher.
she isn't going to be rehired next year because students will sit in desks when they arent feeling well and the special ed students in there also often sit when angered by other students(which happens frequently). another reason for this is because she "doesn't dicipline the students"-she has written up students for behavior and does warn us. she also has taken up cell phones and what not, but she doesnt believe in punnishiing people when they correct their mistakes[this guy walked out of class wearing a hat but he came back later and appologized for his actions-she called an administrator, but didnt punish him because he fixed his mistake]

she is one of the very few teachers who actually care for the students and want us to succeed in life.

she does more than teach us music she teaches us life lessons as well.

we would hate to see her leave.thank you.

I taught High School for 39 years. I'm am honoured when my ex students invite me to weddings. They grab me to dance when I go to clubs to see my daughter sing. I never followed a rule in my life. I said "I think that it would be better if " instead of "should". I've had a few students who have done well call me their "mentor" (now THAT'S an honour).

I always had a hate hate relationship with school administrators who have, generally, only control and education for domestication on their agenda. I taught to liberate. Your lady is in the arts. See how many Headmasters come from that path - none because these "A type" personalities are painfully shallow. I mustn't generalise.

The best teachers I've known, the caring, the driven, leave after about three years in disgust. Some teachers stay on a do some good in the smaller crevasses out of the eye of the tyrants.

Don't support your friend (for a teacher should be that) unless she wants you to.

If she does, plan your protest like a military campaign and NEVER SHOW WEAKNESS and don't break the law in such a way that it is a crack in your armour they can use against you. Eventually you are right. When everyone knows you're right or it's too much hassle to go on opposing you the toadies will roll over and say it was all a mistake so give them a way out.

Bullies are cowards.

Draw up a petition and have students and other teachers sign (if they can-they might not be able to.) Distribute it amongst students, their families, and the community. Ask to be put on the agenda at the next school board meeting and contact the local city or county commissioners.

Presumably, the teacher has been fired for cause. If that's the case, no matter how beloved the teacher may be, it's unlikely that the firing will be reversed. This isn't TV. Petitions mean nothing.

If the teacher was wrongly accused and you have evidence to support this, then contact the school board and present your evidence.

Staging a protest, while noble, rarely effects these situations. Especially if the firing was for cause.

Start a petition and get everyone in the school to sign it. Get everybody in the whole school to skip one (the same) day to get your point across. Make t-shirts that say "save Mrs. so & so". It may not do much, but it will for sure get their attention.
