I bought a laptop HP dv6000t (15.4 inch display) without a graphics card so I could choose the right one.. I have Windows Vista Home Premium, Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz, and 2 GB RAM (533MHz) and want decent graphics. I play some games, but I'm not a gaming person, I was thinking about a GeForce 7400, but maybe step up to the GeForce 7600.. depending on the price, I want to spend $50 - $100, which card do you recommend (must be compatible)?

Is ebay a good place to buy?

I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.. which I think is a chip in the procesor that borrows RAM, which I think isn't a card. I want to buy a VIDEO CARD (nvidia, ATI, etc) So my VRAM goes up and my graphics in aerointerface/game are better.. is really imposible to do that?

No.U can't.

Even if it was possible to add a video card thts better than intel GMA ...its the Vendor that should do it or u will end up killing your laptop synchronisation

on the higher end ...u can go for an external docking station for your card but that wont work without an external power supply.
But u'll hv to do tht on your own risk....the warranty goes void if u do so.

My recommendation....convince the vendor to change ur laptop to one with a card(if u bought it a few days back)

Howzit Boet!

I'll only answer your last question. I know not everyone has cash... But the best thing you can ever do in life if you want to rip the benefits is spent a lot of cash on computer components...

Car lovers spent some massive buck on their cars, so why can't you spent just a couple of bucks on your computer and know you'll be getting quality.

I don't got beef with Ebay or sumtin bro! If you want the best spent some serious cash on something with gurantee from a serious computer store...

In case you go broke 3weeks from now you can always sell it for some good cash, unlike buy from Ebay..

Good luck and I hope you get to think like I do...

Think "investment"

(and a laptop with an upgradable graphic card sounds new to my ears). Is that new technology or what... Holla back so I can invest in something like that boet!!!

You sure it was a laptop? I can't think of a single laptop that didn't come with a graphics/video card.
