Dreams take what you see or desire or fear subconsciously and forwards them to the conscience. For better or worse. I am no expert on dreams but I dream often and most of the time is not symbolic. I keep a journal and pay close attention to them. Now I can wake and remember most dreams in vivid detail. Some dreams after waking I find that I can go back to sleep and tune back into the same dream where I left it before waking. Those are mainly the pleasurable ones. Some are not pleasurable but recurrent. Definitely a fear or a knowledge of what is to come. Or so it seems. Some have came true. Not by my will. Even those that seem nonsensical make sense after a while.

There is not such thing as an "expert" in dream interpretation. Dreams are believed to be subconscious interpretation on random neuron firing in particular regions of the brain.
Anyone who claims to be an expert in interpreting dreams is really an expert in filling their wallets.. with your money.
I would not, however, rule out meaning in dreams.
So how do you know if they mean anything? You don't. And it may be 50 to 75 years before we even have a clue. That is how complicated the brain is.

Absolutely, but.. in your case, it only reflects your desire.
1. you are getting married. This is common to many people that one day you may get married. Having yourself projected in dream as marrying shows that you have hidden desire of becoming someones half. But it does not mean predicting the future.
2. Having sex with same guy. Again, this is due to your desire of what you are in lack of. You are trying to tell yourself subconsciously there is something in life that you need. Probably in your case it is companionship or close relationship
That is why you vent this out in dreams

I think any significance associated with dreams would be more to do with your own random thoughts or desires. Perhaps your dreams could indicate what you hope for your future, but there has never been any conclusive evidence that dreams actually predict the future.

Well, in my opinion, I'd definetly have to say dreams signify things. Espiecially ones about your future. I'd recomend getting a dream book or something and looking at the key elements in your dream..like open doors usually mean something..stuff like that ya know?

Freud would tell you that you're repressing some unresolved unconscious thoughts and would analyse it for at least 5 years. A 21st century psychologist would tell you about the rem sleep and chemistry in your brain that produces the dreams. But the true answer is the one you believe in.
