Well, I really loved Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp and not the other albums. Their current sound doesn't interest me much 'cos their style of glam rock is just well... so-so and it's so disappointing that Alison doesn't explore her vocal range much.

Anyways, does anyone have any albums similar to Felt Mountain to recommend? As in: unique or interesting sounds, it can be electronic, rock, or any genre. It can have light opera, or even have no vocals, I just want something good.

All I request is that the music be not too poppish please... I grew up hearing too much pop and just can't take much of that anymore. Or if it's pop, please let it be interesting at least.

Goldfrapp's early work resembles Air. Check out the album "Moon Safari." She has collaborated with Orbital, Tricky and Add N to X. You might want to check them out as well since they influenced her sound. Massive Attack's album "Mezzanine" is also worth checking out as well.
