probably the 90's when hip hop slid into rock and spawned Kid Rock....awful! Thank god we got out of that!

In between the heavy metal of the 70's and the very early eighties but before alternative. Music like Metalica, Marily Manson, Tool, etc. etc.
The only band I really like out of that era is Alice in Chains.
And don't get me wrong I like good hard ROCK & ROLL. I grew up on it and still listen to it alot.
I just don't get the Metallica type music.

Now, without a doubt. It all is such a ripoff and it isn't even done half as well! What's the worst are those pseudo-"punk" bands that have no idea what it's really all about.
