up or down and wants you to tell him if that toe is up or down
and what does it mean if on one foot you get it right but on the other foot you sometimes get it wrong and say your toe is bent when it is straight or visa versa??

The doctor is performing a neurological exam. The test is to see if your proprioception is in tact. Proprioception is how you sense yourself and the space around you. You should be able to sense the direction your toe is moving without seeing where it is moving. There are several things that could cause this loss of proprioception and most are temporary.

until you explained Peanut i was about to ask her was she sure it was a doctor it sounded a bit weird to me but i get it now
