When you are outside working and it is cold the slightest bump or scrape that wouldn't be an issue in the summer hurts pretty bad. Why is it that when your skin is cold is it more sensitive instead of more numb?

On exposing your body to cold, the blood vessels close, skin turns white and their temperature drops. However, when it gets to cold, your body tries to save your skin by opening the blood vessels, the skin turns red, becomes more sensitive and starts to itch and burn.

Good luck!

I think its because the blood is more concentrated on the major muscle groups and organs, that say you get slapped in the leg with the cold weather, because theres less circulation there it causes more pain...I don't know if that helped or not...
