I wonder why some people pronounce lurv and some pronounce larngerie.
(True) love doesn't see blemishes in its object, hence is blind to them. The popularity of lingerie depends mainly on its total visibility not on its unseen blemishes, (though going blind can't be totally excluded from the argument).
