A lot of the food is the same, but it wont offer the same balanced diet. It will do in a pinch, but it should not stay your hamster's diet.

That's fine til you get some more hamster food but if there is something in your kitchen you can supplement it with (unsweetened cereals, dried corn etc) that would be better. Don't substitute the bird seed til the bag runs out. You can always mix in what's left of the bird seed with the new hamster food because dwarves really like bird seed.

no no no....a hamster needs hamster food. A birds food is much different and does not have the nutritional stuff that the hamster need. Go and get your pet the food it needs and stop giving it your birds food to it...you don't want to be sorry in a few days. The bird food can make your hamster sick and believe me you don't want to do that, if you continue to feed it bird seed you won't have to worry about getting it any kind of food.

it truly is no longer large to feed birdseed for your hamster, yet when it truly is an emergency and also you do not have the different food contained in the living house than it will be ok for a short even as. you ought to really feed it hamster food because birdseed don't have each and each of the food that hamsters desire. attempt giving it some clean food to boot (in small parts) like culmination, greens, and nuts.

Try if it wants to eat. I don't see any problem about it, but I doubt it will eat.
