Confidence is excellent to have, but too much of it will make you appear very arrogant.
And that is the kind of thing that will murder your social life.
Besides, an "I'M AWESOME!!!" attitude is just lying to yourself. There is always someone cooler, always someone better-looking, and always someone who's better than you at everything else.
Welcome to the real world.

There's nothing wrong with having a good self stem but being full of yourself sometimes means you are really not a confident as you want people to believe.

Its not wrong, its just not respected. People who think that they are better than other people tend to be very mean to people and expect others to treat them like royality.
If the person has a lot of self confidence than its different. That means that they believe in themself and treat people like equals.

Yes!
I think of it as a sign of immaturity. It gets old after a person turns, say, three or four years old.
For example, my daughter is wildly concerned because her father is having a baby with his new wife--she's upset because she's no longer the 'only child' --except that she's 26 years old!

It has been proven psychologically that people who act arrogant or stuck up are very troubled and use these defense mechanisms to cover them.

you have to depend on situation, can't tell whether it is right or wrong.
Sometimes, we have to keep a low profile, but sometimes, we just have to let go of all our abilities.
