If the bible is the authority on the subject, then those who commit suicide are in the same place/ condition as every other dead person.

Of the dead, the bible says they are conscious of nothing at all. (Eccl 9:5,10;Ps 146:4) They cease to exist- like the flame of a candle when it is extinguished.

The hope for the dead that the bible holds out is a resurrection back to life at a later time. (John 11:11-14;Ps37:29) It does not speak of whether that hope is held out for those who take their own lives. But we can expect that a loving God will make that decision on an individual basis and in light of the individuals personal circumstances when he or she died.

This would be answered differently depending on what religion, if any, you follow or believe in. I have been taught that suicide is a great sin, in that only God can take a life, anything else is murder. Therefore in my religion someone committing suicide would go to Hell. I don't know if I believe that, though.

You don't go anywhere, ever again, because there is simply no more you. When the neural/electrical/chemical activity in your brain stops, you simply cease to exist. It's called death and it's forever. All those ignorant superstitions about life after death were invented by our primative ancestors, who didn't have a clue as to the true nature of reality. This is your one and only life, don't waste it.
