has there ever been a show case showdown where both contestants have guessed as close as $250 without going over, where they win both show cases?

Also, when is Bob Barkers last show? Will the show go on, and who will replace him?

Does anyone know who Michael Burger is? He's hosted some shows in the past. I think he'd make a great successor....reminds me a little of the young Bob Barker with the dark hair.

Only one contestant who is closest will win the showcases, even if both are less than $250 away from the actual retail price. I've never seen it happen but it may have.

I read Bob Barker will retire in June of this year. No talks about who his replacement will be yet.

To answer your first question (assuming that you mean both players end up as Double Showcase Winners), I think the showcases are assembled so that a tie can never occur.

To answer your second question, Barker's last show is scheduled to air on June 15, but the series supposedly will continue. His successor has not yet been determined.

I seem to recall at least once (maybe twice) over the decades the show has aired, when they had to do that. But, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Try Googling it (words: "price is right" history)

Bob Barker will be doing that show at 90, in a wheel-chair LOL!

I'm not sure who could possibly replace him.

The earlier posting of June 15th for Bob Barker's last show is not correct, that date is a Friday, and they only tape Mon-Thursday. His final show is Thursday June 28th. Come on down, I will be!!!

I was just on the show last year. Bob said he was gonna be retiring within this year. But from what he said, the show will go on. Not sure who will replace him, let's just hope it's not a celebrity like all the game shows are doing now.

No, because the rule is that the one person closest to the price of their showcase wins. Thre can be ONLY one showcase winner. If the winner is within $250 without going over, then only that person wins both showcases.

Happens every so often when they win both showcases not that common just like they all three spinning the wheel and getting one dollar seen that once.
