I have lived in 5 countries including the States and the UK, I have observed the same in both sides, one usually complains about the other... I think every single place has its own goods and bads, but after all you get almost the same **** everywhere.... to have experienced both sides is the best thing I've ever done, and I don't see the point in taking sides when you can get the best of both.

Oh, god, Lynne. Go to Europe. You aren't "Euro-American" to them, you're just a Yank. Give everyone a break. This whole "My great granddaddy was from Italy so I'm a PROUD, in-your-face Italian!" thing is irritating the rest of the world, and a minute part of the American population.

I am 100% American, and I think we would all be happier if all citizens identified themselves the same way. I think any prefix at all is not only unnecessary but divisive.
