Are you his boss? If not, then your boss should tell him. But if you are his boss. Take him into a room alone...talk to him in private. And just say something along the lines of...."Bob ( or whatever his name is)...some of us here have been affected by your body odor." Talk to him like a friend, don't belittle him...some people don't even realize that they smell, you have to be nice about it...and if all else fails, give the man some soap and deodorant or cologne ...like a birthday gift or something....

Put closepin on your nose. And make a sign out of cardboard that says. "Will work with people who bathe and use deodorant." Whenever he stops by your cubicle. Put on the noseclip and hold up the sign. Congratulations! You now have an inkling of what it is like to be homeless. Next step: Volunteer at a homeless shelter and sharpen up those conversational skills. Most homeless people I know--even though they don't smell too pleasant--are some of the most interesting people i have met. After you are used to being around people who have to forego personal hygiene due to the tragedy of our society's choice to fund military systems rather than education and social welfare, go back to your co-worker and you will find he does not smell so bad anymore.

well you should give him hints about it. Like ask "don't you hate when people have B.o and they don't even know they have them!!! they MIGHT WANT TO GET A HINT FROM FRIENDS..............don't you think ?..." and if he doesn't get the hint say something like "would you like to try my new soap i got i think it would fit you trust me............ "and give it to him......or If you cant take it anymore i think you should just plain flat out and tell him....but in a nice way like sorry but you need to get a new deodorant or take a shower because no offense but you have B.O so I'm sorry to tell you."And he should under stand!.....O.O well i hope i helped!!

This is something you have to handle very delicately, talk to the man in private ,he may be very enbarrassed and just say you are tired of people saying it behind his back and you thought it would be best to tell him yourself ,and see how it goes from there ,if he is hurt he will want to do something about it ,if he rant and rave then the workmates could take it up a notch . Good luck , but I would rather say it than have to endure it .

quietly, off to one side. If you do it in front of others you will likely embarrass both of you.
If you are direct, discreet and honest he will likely appreciate the favour you are doing him. How would you tell somebody their slip was showing or their zipper was undone? Same thing.
I lost my sense of smell a while ago and it is funny trying to get people to let me know if I smell sweaty or whatever( I can't tell). Lucky me that I have a couple of co-workers who understand. (they refuse to sniff my lunch for me though)
Derek sounds a bit blunt, but basically that is it.

Give him a can of deoderant for his birthday or Xmas. Or you could just leave it on his desk when he's not looking with a little note attached saying 'you've got B.O. for the good of the workplace please take a shower'
lol =D

"Excuse me 'blank blank', something has been brought to my attention and I've been asked to refer to your employment contract under proper hygeine. There have been some anonymous complaints and I just wanted to make sure you were aware. Your poor hygeine is having an impact on those around you. If it's a medical condition, the company would be more than happy send you to a professional to see that it's taken care of."

Go to the boss. It's his or her job to tell someone that they are offending other in the office. Telling him yourself could cause problems or conflict among the employees.
That is unless YOU are the boss! Just tell him that his hygiene habits need to be addressed because of complaints from other employees or clients.

I'm sure that someone would has already told him at some point in his life, and he has chosen to do nothing about it. I don't think that saying anything would do any good.
