firstly i want to say... you can get over this if you want to....

"life is made up of 10% what happens to you and 90% how you think about what happens to you" -Vince Lombardi

i would say you have some serious issues... i have some issues of my own and i can get depressed a lot but i have never taken to cutting myself... yet.... you can kill yourself by cutting yourself you know... im not sure if that is your intention but if you want a release... i believe a great release for emotion is music... depression tends to be due to bottled up emotions.... i would know... so you need some sort of release... if you cant play music... learn... it will help give you something other than your depressing issues to concentrate and focus on and can give you a sense of accomplishment... which is pretty positive...

music may be a cause i guess... my music is like a drug to me... it allows me to slow down or speed up or escape... and is totally legal and safe... you should choose the music you need to counter the negative emotions you are feeling... i find drum cadances and drum kit solos and general percussion pieces help put my life back into pace... they may help you....

another thing you can do is write... start a journal or diary... get things out... i am doing that and it is making things a whole lot better...

and also you ease you off the cutting into something less destructive and damaging... a rubber band... wear one and instead of cutting... pull and release... flick ur wrists instead...

if you ever want to talk or need to talk i might be online on msn... you can add me... ed-dg@hotmail.com ....

Id suggest it could be a hormonal imbalance, which leads up to depression and all those things you mention above. This is not an uncommon thing for teens to go through, the "cutting" you mention is not normal. My only suggestion to you, is open up to people to the best of your ability, try talking with people about things you feel. Deff. talk with your family doctor about this as well, they maybe able to help you with things of this nature. Keep your head high and never look down at the ground.

It sounds like your bipolar which is a depression disorder. This is normal but it is not healthy. You are sick and you need medication. Tell your parents about this and they should call a good psychiatrist who can prescribe the right medicine for you. Dont be sad, there are so many things to look forward after you graduate from high school!

I was exactly the same way. It may be a faze but you might want to talk to a therapist still. I am 23 and have a kid. I got depressed after the birth. The thing that always helped me was exercise. When you get moving it kicks up natural endorphins. can't spell.
good luck

I would say bipolar or depression? Might want to see a shrink! Don't feel embarassed about going you would be surprise who you might see there.

Note one out of five people have some sort of disorder, It is better to know you have a problem then not deal with it at all!
