Well, you've got to remember that:
the unicorns were hiding, playing silly games when Noah looked out through the driving rain.
So when the ark started moving, drifting with the tides, the unicorns looked up from the rocks (and they cried), but the waters came down and sort of floated them away.
And that's why you'll never see a unicorn to this very day.

I don't believe in them, as in the sense of having faith in them, but it is a nice idea that they exist in one sense or another.
