Without a doubt get a PC. If Mac's OS was so great than why do they offer the option to let you install windows? The only reason I would get a Mac was if I didn't know much about computers since they are easier to use.

Hi. People seem to like the MACs very much. PCs are usually built around the Windows OS while MAC uses OS 10, I think. I'm a PC guy.

Here's a list of pros and cons for each.

PC Pros-
Compatible with most other systems
Can add compatibility to all systems
Trial and Error, they must be good by now :)
Mac Pros-
Compatible with Unix
(Barely) compatible with Windows
(Barely) compatible with iPod
Easier for people over 45 to use

PC Cons-
98 was so bad, they had to redo it
Vista is so bad, they will have to redo it
Many extra features cost money
Virus prone
Mac Cons-
Very little capatibility with most systems
Crashes frequently
Hard to customize or fix errors
Virus prone

My favorite:
Linux Pros-
Universal Compatibility
All Software Free
Programmed by supernerds rather than underpaid graduate students
Awesome image editor: The Gimp
Superior OpenOffice suite, beats Microsoft Office anyday
Everything customizable
People who hack and create viruses use these, therefore they don't create viruses that can affect their own computer- SAFE TO USE INTERNET
Linux Cons-
Programmed by supernerds, therefore the Terminal code(DOS for Linux) is harder to learn
Some other systems are trying to prevent compatibility because they may be hacked by Linux users
Too perfect

This may be a little biased towards Linux, but otherwise its accurate

well Mac Because It has BootCamp on it Which Means you can install Windows XP on it if you want to plus it has a whole lot of features on it that a PC doesn't :)

Internally, their processors architectures differ. But each one's architecture does pretty much the same thing. Aside from that, all the other components are the same (hard drive, video card, sound card, etc...). The choice is your, no platform is really 'better', but Windows does support more software.
