I have to run 1.5 miles and 300 meters. How can I covert that down to simple distance so I can practice?

Okay let's try it this way. I need to run 300 meters in a certain time. What landscape measurements could I use to come close to 300 meters, also I need to run 1.5 miles in a certain time. What landscape measurements could I use for that?

I appreciate your guy's help but none of you have really answered my question. At least, not with an answer I'm looking for.

300 meters is 3/4 of a lap around a regular track-and-field track.

1.5 miles is 6 laps

one (sea) mile is about 1864 meter so you have to run 300 + 2 times say 1900 = about 4 kilometer, you should be able to do this within 20 minutes after enough practice

important is to wear good shoes !

update.

Ok i think i understand what you mean.
here is the algorithm :
if you need to run 300 meter :
run 150 meters from home, and then 150 meter back.
Remember the place whee youwent back. That is the only landmark you need.

Next 1.5 miles / 150 meter = 2764 (sea) miles meters/150 meter is about 18. So you hev to run 18 times to the land mark point and 18 times back to home when you are practicing the 1.5 (sea) mile distance.

it is important to wear good shoes and warm clothing

There is 1600 meters per miles x 1.5 = 2400 meters
add 300= 2700 meters. That is equal to 2.7 km.

converting everything to meters
1.5 miles =1.5*5280 = 7920 feet
7920 ft * .3048 meter/ft = 2414 meters

total distance in meters = 2414 + 500 = 2914 meters

converting everything to miles

300 meters = 300/.3048 = 984 feet = 984/5280 = .186 miles
total distance in miles = 1.5+.186 = 1.686 miles

converting all to feet = 1.686*5280 = 8904 feet

take your pick

pace a known distance, a baseball diamond(30 yds from home to first) then convert distance to steps:
1.5 miles x 1760= 2640

2640/30=88

88x40(est)=steps in 1.5 miles

30 yds =27.4 meters

300/27.4=10.95

10.95x40(est)=steps in 300 meters

(5280 ft/mile x 1.5 mile) + (300m x 3.28 ft/ m)= distance in feet =8904 ft

If you want it in yards the divide feet by 3 =2968 yards

If you want it in meters divide feet by 3.28=2415 meters

if you want it in Miles divide feet by 5280=1.68 miles
