can you get them from building and repairs or just from research and multiples of collections? I have had to restart a couple times because of my village dying if I forget to change the game speed if I leave it running overnight. At the moment I have level 2 for farming and engineering. I am working or repair of the love shack and have the dam started. I have my fire built and my island herbs and flowers mastered. I have alge in the ocean at the moment and want to get more tech points faster to buy level 3 farming to clear up the ocean and get back to fishing. I have enough coconuts left for the time being and with finding mushrooms around the food supply should hold out if I can get more tech points faster.

I finished the first chapter so I do know to use the research table. What I wanted to know was how to build up tech points in other ways and faster. Did I not state that clearly enough in my first details?

The best way it to collect the tech points is researching as many villagers as you can. However, if you keep on doing the collections you get additional tech points for collecting collectibles that you already have. This helped me alot. So, if you see a collectible that you already have don't just leave it, let a child pick it up........... it will add tech points. The uncommon and rare items at a good many tech points. Whereas the regular items gather you about 100 points. Other than that the only other way I know of getting tech points is through island events.
