Are you meaing the filter pump thing here? A link or a proper name would really help. By leo I assume you mean a leopard gecko. A ten gallon tank is fine for one gecko, make sure no more though. They do not need water to swim in, so this may not be good. A waterfall type thing would work better like this:

My leopard geckos love to drink fresh water. I would suggest going to a petco or petsmart and checking it out in person so as not to waste your money. You really don't need one. I just pour water into a reptile bowl about 4-5 inches wide and 6-7 inches long. They always come running to take a fresh drink. They love it.

Also, although a 10 gal tank may seem okay for "leos" it is not really adequate for more than one. It is even small for a single adult. Leos are very active a night and love cruising their tank. They need a water area, a pooping area (their choice) and hiding and climbing areas (vines). They also enjoy hunting down their crickets. You get the picture. They are more active then most people see. My 2 leos were in a 20 gal long when they were smaller but as adults they are in a 29 gal tank. I use rabbit pellets as substrate so it is digestible if accidently eaten when the leo snatches up a cricket.

It is good to know you care about your pets enough to ask questions. If you really want to get the filter system and don't have a local petstore you can always call one and talk to their reptile expert with your questions.
