YES!
This is a time for sutdents to get some work done during the day which may be forgotten or neglected by the time they get home.
Also, in most cases, a study period overseen by a teacher produces an atmosphere for study that is quieter and better disciplined than what most kids are willing to or able to create in their own homes in the evenings.
It also provides homework help (i.e. the teacher and other school resources) near at hand.
Lastly, it creates a break in the day from one lecture and/or practice class to another.

I loved study hall when I was in middle school,and so of course its a yes.

of course! it lets us (the students) have some time off from actual classes and get some homework done before school is over. this way, we have more time to do things we enjoy at home!
