i have a mirco fiber couch when i get up and go touch anything thats ground i get shocked if i go to touch a light switch it zaps me.and i mean it hurts i have no carpet in the house so i sure this add to it . and well i wanted to know if antistatic guard would stop this problem and if it would hurt the couch

Check the humidity level in your living space. Drier air produces more static electricity. Moist air reduces static electricity. Humidity levels of 35 - 40% are average. Too high and you will get a musty smell so dont overdue it.
