I don't think there is any justification for recalling him. He's not as fit as he should be and his mind set is wrong. That stupid foul that caused him to be sent off when he was recalled to Real sums him up - petulant

Definitely.
England not done much without him recently and look how much improved Real Madrid are now he's back playing for them.
Lennon has the pace but not much else at the moment, wright-philips cant get a game for his club so sholdn't play. As for Bentley, yes he's good but not sure it's the best time to start playing him.
Beckham has the experience and the skill. If he is as bad/mediocre as some people say on here he wouldn't have been taken to Real Madrid in the first place, let alone recalled recently.

Beckham is merely an average player now, he was dropped at Real even before he decided to go to LA, and both Lennon and Bentley are arguably the best players at their respective Premiership clubs, and have 10 years of their England career left.

No doubt, Beckham is not the future of England. BUT how can we be looking to the future when we are in doubt of qualifying for the Euro??? Bring back Beckham for one last campaign, for now. Also, we can let the Lennons and the Bentleyy learn from him. Also, say what you want about him, but he is a great leader, great set up man, great crosser, and easily in the top 3 free kick takers (direct or indirect) in the world.

I think you have to look at the bigger picture here.
First of all Beckham is a good player, he is not a great player. He was a fortunate young lad who managed to marry someone who was at that time a pop idol.
Between the two of them with their wild ideas and extravagant lifestyle decisions, they have kept themselves in the limelight and it would appear that their popularity would make the prospect of letting him play more attractive.
David Backham is an uneducated average player who's good looks appeal to many females and sell plenty of razors.
His wife is a mediocre singer who spends most of her time and their vast fortune trying to forget where she was dragged up.
So if playing football for a team is dependant on popularity then Beckham will probably get a place. If however selection is based on commitment and ability and being able to take the field without your spice (sorry, spouse) by your side, then Beckham, would be a poor choice when far better talent is available.

It wouldn't hurt to bring Beckham back. It's not like England is on a winning streak that Beckham might upset. Mcclaren should learn from Fabio Capello's mistake. As soon as he recalled Beckham to the Real Madrid squad, he scored Real's first goal in 3 matches and they finally won a match thanks to his goal. Mcclaren is already under a lot of scrutiny and he needs all the help he can get so he should bring Beckham back.

all and sundry is knockin mclaren for droppin becks, yet whilst a ballot replace into performed, each ballot on sky activities and the sunlight and everywhere had approximately 80% of people sayin drop him. Now bloody look at you all "oh mclarens an fool for dropping him"! on the tip of the day, mclaren is a international category coach, yet no longer a international category supervisor. Beckham is international category at loose kicks, corners and crossers.. yet couldnt run down the wing or dribble for toffee. particular hes a tricky worker and shud be interior the team yet i think of mclaren will come good and all and sundry shud give up moaning. TJM - i partly agree and partly dont. with reference to the destiny, i do agree, we could desire to hone the recent proper wingers waiting for the subsequent opposition. even if, we could desire to take each pastime at a time and if beckham is the suited guy for the pastime in that pastime, then %. him! Its no longer ALL with reference to the destiny, lots is with reference to the now! regarding enjoying lamps and gerrard... yeah i do partly accept as true with you, i think of hes merely hoping theyll finally artwork out the thank you to play alongside eachother.

i think should definately play him because england have not played that good this season and with beckham playing they could step up a gear and even win.
look at real madrid- they were not playing gud without becks so they brought him back in and since they done that they are playin on top form and becks even got man of the match so that shows he is capable of doing it for england.

DO THE RIGHT THING AND BRING BACK BECKHAM!

he DESERVES it before he goes over to usa.
give him one last chance to play for his country.

......beckham has officially handed in his notice for england when he said he wanted to play in the US......if hollywood and being a celebrity is more important than his football then good riddance.........lennon is quick but doesnt quite know what to do with the ball ......wright-philips should leave chelsea....now....
...........plus i see beckham as a disruptive influence ........which outways any benefit......if he came in as a squad player and didnt play ......every press conference would be about beckham.....(.ala ...keegan 1982 )....why / when / etc......

Is this groundhog day? This is the 3rd time I've seen this question being asked, just worded differently all 3 times. Yes he should be considered. As I've said the last 2 times.
