my girlfriend is out their collecting raw stones in abeokouta and she's completly normal. she never say's anything about money what so ever and anythig that she has mentioned about money has just been an honesty request. some people will accept it when you say "no i can't do that"

Yes there are good people in Nigeria, it's just a shame they have soooooo many scammers there.
No the country is definately not misunderstood, I think people understand Nigeria very well.

there are good and bad people everywhere, think outside the box, dont let the media decide what a certain group of people or what a country is like for you, find out for yourself.

good eggs and bad eggs in one big country named nigeria...dont generalise the whole race, and brand them into that specific worst grp...have a look at their history, very muddled, lots of civil wars, and upheavals on different tribes etc, etc...
lots of scammers and war mongers, but then again i reiterate, not all of them...i should know, i am married to a nigerian, and he comes from a decent, educated/respectable family....nigerians are also victims of their own insensitive nigerian brothers ....
