I've heard their songs and bought their records, but I have never seen them. Do you have any information about them?

There wasn't a band, really; it was a bunch of songs written by professional songwriters and performed by session musicians, set to animation which was sort of like an artificial music video, which was then used as filler material in the "Archie" cartoon show (based on the comic strip) - Hanna-Barbara also made a "Brady Bunch" cartoon a couple of years later which used the same animation for the music sequences, as did "Josie & The Pussycats". This became necessary when a few of the songs (first and most notably "Sugar Sugar") became popular enough to be released as singles; when money got involved, the songwriters & musicians wanted a piece of it, so the Archie show was reconfigured as a bunch of blackouts rather than an episode with a musical sequence at the end (and using new songs by different people, without using the name "Archies" as there was an ongoing lawsuit), and the other two shows were introduced, featuring music made under much more carefully-written contracts.

What do you want to know? Archie was a redhead with a crosshatch pattern in his hair, Veronica was a rich girl with a southern accent, while her dad, mysteriously, didn't have one, Reggie was a rich jerk who was always being nasty to Archie,Jughead was a hamburger-loving dunce who wore a hat that looked like a crown, Hot Dog was his dog, and Betty was the girl-next-door.
