If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it was called "Body Buddies", with Dr. Bernie Ernst and his wife Jeanne - Jeannie was entirely quiet & passive for the entire show, except for the 5 minutes of aerobics she led - then she'd shout like a crazy person.

RE:
Does anyone remember a exercise show in the early 80s, i believe the hosts were married?
the wife was short and quiet, but would joke around a lil and it looked like she wore pantyhose under her leotard. the husband was tall and seemed stiffer than his wife,

Yes I watched The Body Buddies for yrs. At first she was a bit chunky. Thick thighs. After a few years her thighs did get slender. Loved doing excerzises with the show. Another one was Arobiczise. 3 ppl did the show. 1 was in the beginner position. The 2nd in moderate possition and the 3rd was in the Intermediate possition. Has anyone seen those shows lately.

The show was called Body Buddies and was hosted by Dr Bernie Ernst and his wife, Jeannie Ernst. It was must see programming for young men (including myself) back in the day. Jeannie was petite, with curvy hips, thighs, great breasts and awesome hair. She looked absolutely stunning squeezed into spandex leotard and she always wore pantyhose. The camera-men were obviously instructed NOT to focus too much on her, but it was unavoidable and she looked fantastic going through litany of body-weight and isometric exercises and stretches the show emphasized. As i recall he was a chiropractor and nutritionist so he would do a segment on diet, which was actually quite good. They knew their audience for sure, though because the best part of the show was an early form of aerobics that was basically Jeannie dancing to 70 s-era disco beat tracks. Sometimes she wore evening wear, sometimes she d stay in her leotard/pantyhose... but regardless, it was mesmerizing watching her firm, voluptuous form in motion!! She had a naturally vivacious, bubbly personality that he (seemed anyway) to try to mute somewhat in favor of giving the show a more serious, formal tone, but her personality shown thru regardless. The show ran from late 70 s into 80 s before it eventually disappeared and gave way to a seemingly endless string of aerobic workout shows featuring younger casts and more advanced training techniques. But for my money none of those shows had a host that could match Jeannie Ernst... she was the best!!
