You buy JASMINE Rice from Asia (usually Thailand), not the rice you find on the shelf in the supermarket. Go to an Asian grocery store, buy the rice and get yourself a rice cooker too. Rice is very very easy to make.

If you have obtained rice "nice and tasty" from an Asian takeout restaurant Id love to know where the heck that was ! The rice sucks with a glue taste of starch everywhere I've tried even more upscale.
The best rice I've had was instant ! Add some hot water to let swell up then add some butter add to meal after all else has been prepared. Next best be wild rice from local grocer any wild has more flavor since instant and non instant white taste less great than wild !
