What happened to the rumor of Plummer reuniting with Kubiak in Houston? From his perspective, I like the looks of that better as he played very well with Kubiak as offensive coordinator. He wouldn't win the big one in Houston...unless something happens to the Texans along the lines of what happened to this years Saints (strictly football talk, not community)...but it could be good for him to play in Texan blue.
In Tampa...don't know that that would be a step up for either the Bucs nor Plummer. Wouldn't hurt either, but don't see him leading them to the promised land.
If I were Denver, I think I'd want to move him. He has always struck me as a decent player...in the right system...who could be poison were he not happy. You can't tell me he would be happy to finish his career backing up Cutler.

I don't why the Broncos wanted to trade him, he'd still make a good backup for Cutler, in case Cutler is injured or something. Jake specifically didn't want to go to a team where he wouldn't be the starter, since what difference would it make to him?
Broncos > Bucs, so what's the point of going to a lesser team if he's not getting promoted. He's about the right age to retire anyways, so I don't really mind his retiring. Now the Broncos need another quarterback, hmmm...

Well, sounds like he's going to retire to avoid the trade. Really not a fan of either team, but I am an Arizona State fan, so I've watched Jake for a while now. Too bad, thought he had some years left.

Personally I think he is using it as a bargaining chip.......Jake is a fighter and he always has been. .The broncos screwed him so its time they get screwed themselves.......I am a long time Plummer fan and I will be really proud of him if thats what hes doing.....They treated him dirty in denver...Shanahan didnt even have the balls to tell Jake he was going with Cutler himself......Shanahan is a jackass! I used to think alot of Shanahan but i think as a coach he is a loser just like Coughlin is.. He needs to go to the Lovie Smith/Tony Dungy classact school and learn how to be a good coach.

The Bucs really aren't that bad.
And Tampa isn't exactly a bad place to live. When it's sub-zero up North, we stay in the 60's to 80's. You have nice beaches here as well.
Bucs fans are pretty rabid too. And Chucky is a good coach.
Think Jake screwed himself on this one.

Yes it is. He was being a baby. I don't hate the guy but I also do not think he is any good. He should have retired a few years ago. He might have but the good players around him in Denver covered up **** shotty play. The league won't miss him.

When I first heard of the trade I thought...."can't we do better?" Jake struggled everwhere he played, what made anyone think he'd do better in Tampa? Then when I heard he didn't want to come to Tampa and announced his retirement I thought......"maybe a little birdy told him some things about what goes on there and thought this is not for me."

He is a self center ego maniac. if he cannot start and be the main guy, he will not play. this is why he is going to retire instead of a probable backup to Simms.

I don't like him or dislike him but it's stupid of him to retire because he really isn't that old and can still play the game.
