Yes. I actually just opened up an account with them last month and have gotten 15 dollars int rest in a month when I got like .65 from my bank. Plus they will send you an ATM card and back statements. Everything is legit. It does not cost to transfer money to or from your account to another account with their online savings account. I would def. go for it. Maybe if everyone did it the banks like Wachovia wouldn't off fer these ridiculous non-existent interest rates on savings accounts. HSBC interest rate is even better than ING. They offer the same product. And hey if it goes down you can always move your money somewhere else.

Yes, and I love their online savings account. It actually pays decent interest not like the silly pocket change you get from a local bank savings account.
We use their savings acct as an emergency account where we keep money in case we need it (so we can avoid using credit cards). I like seeing the interest grow.
There is no catch, and it's not too good to be true.
Think about it, they don't have to pay for bank buildings in every city they have customers in, less staff since it's all online and most of what you do is automated anyway on the website.
The down side is that it can be a little tricky to find a place where you can use the atm card without being charged a fee, but it's a savings account, so the point is to not make withdrawals too often.

I have had an online account with HSBC for over 15 months.. I love them!! Security is great!! I did lose my password, and security key.. I called them, and they helped me out to move money online while the rep was on the phone with me.. Whats thier catch? That interest rate only last till the end of april?? AND...They are a large world wide bank Online!! And they own other smaller banks too.. Go to your local banker and sit down with someone and then mention thier name.. they will get very quiet!! I have had great customer service from them and i have over 5 figures in an account with them. Make your money grow with them!! Mine has!!

You manage banks in accordance to the way they manage you. i might visit my branch and ask to debate the priority with a supervisor. you're a valued shopper and can be taken care of as such. in the event that they gained't play ball i might initiate traveling different severe highway banks to verify what bargains they provided. If HSBC in branch won't manage to journey the internet deal i might flow my account interior the blink of a watch.
