I had a car accident where I spun out of control and a motorcycle hit me. The guy was very badly injured and through the first night I was so worried that he would die that I learned I could never live with myself if someone died as a result of my actions. Although I didn't drive erratically before, I learned that there is no need or excuse for hurry on the roads.

I was in this karaokee contest (amirican idol-ish), and wearing these high heels....I started singing but fell backwards over a light.... If I had known this was comming I'd have never gotten up there...but luckily I didn't...so I got up, and finished the song...Yes, people laughed...it was funny.

I learned that 1) The person inside of me is much stronger than I realized and 2) When the worst think you can think of happening actually does happen...you still live....and you're even less afraid the next time

What I learned: Don't walk backwards when on top of a cube van.

I'll let you figure out the experience, were I learned it.
