They're selfish. Being a true friend doesn't mean counting the hours spent with someone; it means being there when that someone truly needs you. So just hanging out with other people *without* neglecting your friends doesn't make you a trader.

That's what I get all the time from one of my friends. As long as you do spend a reasonable amount of time with ur friends its perfectly ok for u to spend time with other people. Your friends are obviosuly a bit over-protective and will get used to the idea that u have other friends after a while.

They've become attached to you.
I had that problem not too long ago. A long time friend was way too attached. She got mad when I started dating, and even worse when I got engaged. She was supposed to be my maid of honor, but actually she didn't even make it to the wedding at all!
Some people want all the goods to themselves! They obviously value your friendship and don't want to risk loosing it to someone else.
I say distribute your time amongst your friends. Even if they don't care for it too much, it is your time and your perogative. And if they are too immature to handle it, you don't need to be around them anyway!
Hope this helped! â¥

Simple answer: Silly petty jealousy and insecurity. This friend of yours needs to grow up and realize that the world doesn't revolve around him/her. A suggestion will be to welcome your friend into your circle with the others. If your friend refuses then perhaps that friend needs a reality check, meaning that you have to call his/her behavior for what it really is selfish, petty and possessive and true friendship is none of the above.

I had a friend who did this all the time...even when I hung out with my little sister or my boyfriend!! It is a jealousy thing...pretty sad but true. Most friends will do this. I would maybe confront them about it. If they were a true friend then they would understand!

If your friends can't accept it, then you're going to have to let them go and move on with your life! Besides, friends who are like that are jealous and very insecure! You deserve better than that! Good luck!

they probably feel left out and insecure. they may feel that you are trying to replace them. they are probably just jealous and want to keep you to themselves. there is no need to argue of sometin so silly, in time ur frend will realise that u can have lots of frends and still be close.
