Batting - no question!! There are lots of good pitchers out there and most of them vary in consistency from year to year (making them riskier). After the first ten rounds, you'll be able to draft a Barry Zito type pitcher, but no one near Pujols, Howard, or A-Rod in terms of generating offense stats. A first round pick should be a offensive force (maybe Santana if you have a late drafting position - the ONLY possible exception).

Seeing as though pitching is 90% of the game ,uhhhh pitching would be the correct answer. The ideal thing however would be to draft Babe Ruth who would do both! The red sox did but alas the show must go on so "no no nanette " took presedence over the mighty babe.B.T.W. no no is still showing at the dinner theatre here in ravenna ohio this weekend.Babe hasnt showed up for years!
