If a person who's not an American, nor lives in America, comes to America with a tourist visa, and dies in America; will his body be returned to the country he was born in, if it says in his will that he wants to be buried in America? Does he have the right to be buried in America, if he really, really wants it? And he put it in his will? The person is from Europe.

I believe that he will be buried here unless somone comes to claim the body. The gov is not going to pay to have him shipped back to Europe.

I'm not entirely sure but, since most cemeteries are privately owned, I would think as long as he could afford it they would allow him to be buried there.

You might try contacting a cemetery through their website and see if they have any information as they'd know the laws (if there are any) regarding this.

I can not believe they would deny a last request and go through the added expense and paper work just to deny, unless possibly, the person had some sort of rare disease (and that's stretching things)
