Sweetie, u r waiting til the last minute. Prom is around the corner and everyone's probably already booked! This dress is not going to b made in 2 weeks. Sewing sequence takes more time. I think that u should consider buying a dress b/c I would hate for someone to rush on ur dress. This is ur prom day, so u wanna look ur best! Like every other girl, I wanted to get my dress made. But at the last minute after spending hundreds of dollars on fabric and accessories, I ended up buying a dress anyway. My dress cost me $400 but I had to get it b/c it was too last minute. Tho my dress was very gorgeous and in the end everything came together beautifully, I don't suggest u make the same mistake I made by waiting too late! Start looking for ur dress now! It'll eliminate stress too!
PS....I bought my dress from Tadashi. Their dresses are gorgeous! But Loehmann's has a lot of nice dresses in their Back Room for very reasonable prices! I'm talkin' under $100! Try there! Good Luck!

Good luck. I doubt if anyone will make it in a month. If you do find someone to make it, it will cost you more. Figuring that you have to be measured, the dress has to be designed, materials ordered, the dress made, fittings for alterations....a month seems unreasonable. Try to find a seamstress or ask around alteration shops, some people there might have the experience to make a dress. If you really want something original and not store bought then try making one yourself.

Do a search for seamstresses or designers in your area and call and ask. Be prepared to show them a photo of the dress you want. You might have to pay extra but if thats exactly what you want then it will be worth it! Otherwise look for a similar dress if the above option is too expensive and try to add sparkle with shoes and jewelry.

do no longer take your date to the prom on your dad's old "fishing" vehicle like my prom date did with me. We nonetheless ended up having a great time yet there replace into poles, bait and address interior the back seat that stunk horribly. We drove to the prom interior the stench of it because of the fact there replace into no a/c and that i did no longer desire to roll the domicile windows down and break my hair.

I would say it's an emergency. Have you made arrangements for this thing to be made??? You better call around now and get it started because it seems like it may be a lil too late!
