How can i make an alteration to shorten my purse straps?

My purse, made out of a soft faux leather material, has a shoulder strap which is too long, and I'd like to shorten them. Would a local alteration vendor be able to do that?

yes, also a shoe repair shop can do that.

Try alteration shops. Some shoe repair stores might be able to fix it.
