Definately walk on it for a little bit while using the crutches, but dont over do it. It wont break unless you do something drastic, like throw away your crutches and go for a run. Actually, putting a little bit of weight on your broken leg will help the muscles get stronger. Your cast has prevented motion to the leg and muscles and ligaments will have gotten weak. That weird feeling is probably just your muscles trying to wake up again.

If you have any concerns you should talk to your doctor about them. ask him to double check the bone. my daughter broke her elbow and the doctor took the cast off after 4 weeks and said it was healing fine, but don't let her fall or it could be rebroken. she was 3yrs old. i made him put another cast on for another 3 weeks. it usually takes 6-8 weeks for a bone to heal. if you are uncomfortable walking on it ask him for another cast for a few more weeks. you'll have to pay for the extra work, but that's better than ruining your leg.

Ummmm..........it is usually best to do what the doctor told you........EXACTLY what the doctor told you. Walk on it with the assistance of your crutches, so that your leg gets some exercise, the muscles can regain some strength, and you avoid putting your full weight on it all at the same time!
