This girl who is saying she is pregnant (trying to trap my really good friend) is saying that she ovulated on the 16th of February (when asked how she knew that she said she took a test) claimed she went to the docs and they said she conceived on February 15th or around that date which would put her at roughly two weeks pregnant. She is also claiming that she got two positive pregnancy tests and also said she went to the doctor with a beta count of 28 and an hcg count of 14 what does this sound like to you a big fat lie or what. This is what she told me today but she is claiming she went to the doctors thursday of last week which is the 22nd of Feb which would have put her at 7 days pregnant exactly and she said they confirmed with urine NOT blood that she was pregnant but didn't give her a blood test to check her levels does this sound right to you

If she went to the docs today with an HCG count of 14 how the heck did she get a positive home pregnancy test on a test that has a sensitivity of 25mIU

This girl sounds like she will try anything to keep her relationship going with your friend. No she isn't pregnant. In order for a high enough level of hcg to be detected she must miss her cycle which would be four weeks from February 16 (March 16).

Well firstly, tell her that a BETA and a HCG test are the same thing, so she could not have a beta of a 28 and a HCG of a 14, unless the HCG was taken 24 to 36 hours prior to the Beta of 28. However most home pregnacy tests are more sensitive than they say. I tested positive on a beta of 8 on a test that said it read at 50. But either way it does sound like a trap. Doctors test are less sensitive than HPT sometimes, so I seriously doupt a urin test at 7 days post ovulation would have been positive. Tell your friend to buy a digital pregnancy test, make her pee in a cup and have HIM perfrom the test, then he will have his answer.

I found out I was pg on Jan. 1st. I conceived on Dec 12th. I had surgery on Dec 15th, they did a blood test on the 14th, it was neg. I missed my period and took a home test on the first (+)...I went to the Dr. the next day and they did a urine test and she said I was 4 weeks. It was only 2 weeks since my conception day, they add 2 weeks, it is confusing how they figure it....I lost the pregnancy at 8 weeks and I was at 13,000 (my hormone level) they said it should double every two days. She could be pregnant. It is possible but your friend should either tell her he wants to go with her to the Dr. Or demand to see confirmation from the Dr....Or both.

I think you are right by saying "trap." Depending the people's ages, I would either get the parents involved or tell the guy that he needs to get proof from the doctor. Also, they don't test pregnancy with urine. That might be a pre-test, but they will ALWAYS confirm with blood to get the hormone levels.

Good luck to your friend! I hope she doesn't get him trapped. Also, if things turn out nasty, there is always DNA testing as well.

I think you are right by saying trap. You should tell your friend to tell the girl he wants to see the paperwork from the doctor it will say it on there. If she can't produce that then for sure she is lying. Good luck
