I'm going to throw out authors and genres like everyone else! I'm so passionate about books that I can't have a favorite.
Dumas, Bronte (all three!), Austin, Nietzsche, Ayn Rand, Ray Bradbury, Kate Chopin, Allcott, Orzcy (The Scarlett Pimpernell... so good!)
Robert Jordan, RR Martin, Christopher Stasheff, Barbara Hambly, Sharon Shinn, Jennifer Roberson, Diana Wynn Jones, Liam Hearn, J.K. Rowling, Tolkein (of course... read it too many times though)
I like to read philosophy, women's studies, history, poetry, religious studies and cultural study books too... Some good ones I've run across recently:
The Power of One
China Wakes
The Red Tent
The Essential Rumi
Sheherazad Goes West
haha, ok, I'm done now.

I too love to read. I like to try different authors. My favorite books are horror. I like King, Koontz, Bentley Little, Robert McCammon, John Saul. I do read different types of books, not all horror. I just finished a very good laugh out loud book, Marley and Me(life and love with the worlds worst dog), by John Grogan. Whata great book! I like Nelson DeMille,Lee Child, Harlan Coben, James Patterson, and many others.

I'm very passionate about books, which is one of the reasons I started my own publishing company. I also review books, and post the reviews on my site and others. I also do some mentoring with young writers. I prefer the horror genre, but enjoy most speculative and literary fiction.
