Not a pretty girl
it is nice to listen to and its lyrics tell my thoughts. its showing that women can be strong and dont need a man. like the 'girl', i wont be looked at as just another woman who is there to please men. i am myself and i dont want to change. im not pretty. i dont follow the crowd.
I am not a pretty girl
that is not what I do
I ain't no damsel in distess
and I don't need to be rescued
so put me down punk
wouldn't you'd prefer a maiden fair
isn't there a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere
I am not an angry girl
but it seems like I've got everyone fooled
every time I say something they find hard to hear
they chalk it up to my anger
and never to their own fear
and imagine you're a girl
just trying to finally come clean
knowing full well they'd prefer you
were dirty and smiling
and I am sorry
I am not a maiden fair
and I am not a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere
and generally my generation
wouldn't be caught dead working for the man
and generally I agree with them
trouble is you gotta have youself an alternate plan
and I have earned my disillusionment
I have been working all of my life
and I am a patriot
I have been fighting the good fight
and what if there are no damsels in distress
what if I knew that and I called your bluff?
don't you think every kitten figures out how to get down
whether or not you ever show up
I am not a pretty girl
I don't want to be a pretty girl
no I want to be more than a pretty girl

I have a lot, but I like the song Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie. Why? It's got a good beat and the lyrics are most interesting. There is more like this song called Can You Hear me Now by this band I found yesterday called Blinded Black.

Helena by My Chemical Romance, because it's about the death of the lead singer and bass player's grandmother, and my grandpa just passed away not too long ago. And I love the sound of the song and the music video for it.

There are so many that I like, I can't pick just one but at the moment it's "You Don't Know" by 50 Cent, Eminem, Ca$his an Lloyd Banks because it has a nice beat and I love the beginning.

The universal by blur because its definately the best of brit pop and the video is amazing. It just lifts me into another state of being. Plus the lyrical content makes me really think about how the grip of the state is becoming tighter.

Hi!
It would have to be Different Corner by George Michael!
It's beautifully written, well produced and the arrangement is awesome!!
The intro gives me goosebumps EVERY time I hear it!
What's your favourite song?

Run by Air. Every person I have listen to it loves it. It has a perfect melody of bass and treble. It makes me want to go out and change the world, and imagine beautiful things to create, writing it, drawing it, filming it. I never get tired of it, its unique.
